The Library and the Students’ Union Advice Service are offering support and information to ensure you “Write Right” to develop good academic practice and maintain your academic integrity.
Look out for stalls at both campuses during w/c 12 March, alongside Skills for Learning workshops on Academic Writing, Avoiding Plagiarism, and lots of Referencing Refreshers and Referencing Surgeries over the next few weeks.
The Library website also has lots of information on avoiding plagiarism and referencing correctly, including a link to the indispensable Quote Unquote and other useful Skills for Learning resources. You can also access an online tutorial on academic integrity via the Assessment section of your modules in MyBeckett, get help from your Academic Librarian, or book a Referencing Help Appointment.
Our Skills for Learning team are looking for paid study mentors to be part of a new scheme which will run in Semester One 2017-18.
Are you a Level 4 or Level 5 student? Do you think you’d be able to help new students with academic writing, referencing or finding information in the library?
