One of the regular meetings of the Sheila Silver Library Stakeholder Group took place last week. The group, chaired by Jo Norry, Director of Libraries and Learning Innovation, comprises representatives of our Faculties, Estates, Information, Media and Technology Services, the Students’ Union and LLI. Its aim is to gather input on the redevelopment project for the Library and to communicate about the project as it develops. The ultimate aim is to create a space designed for 21st century learning and research, and the needs and preferences of 21st century students.
Kate Kluttz, Library Lending and Operations Development Manager, presented an update on the book moves and locations of key services and the numerous ways in which LLI is communicating with all those who use the Library (including this blog!), particularly because the work will carry on into the start of the Autumn term.
